Episode 8: "Freezing Point"

Last Time: Shinichi met another human who stayed alive after being infected , Mamoru Uda with his parasite "Jaw". They form an alliance to stop the parasite who killed/infected Shinichi's mother, an alliance not helped much by Migi's new weakness of requiring four hours of sleep. When sleep came just as the battle was about to begin, Migi fell asleep in the form of a blade and left Shinichi to do battle himself. However, even with all of Shinichi's new bravery, he was still unable to kill the monster who was using his mother's form, leaving the finishing blow to Uda and Jaw. Afterwards, Shinichi bid Uda farewell, got his father out of the hospital, and went back home.

This Time: The same day Migi detects a new parasite in the area, Shinichi's school gets a new transfer student. Are the two connected?
