Hobbies: Roller-blading, writing, stained glass, weight-lifting, hiking, biking, dessert-creating, beadwork, caring for pet tarantula, downhill skiing, vertebrate zoology esp. herpetology.

General Bio: Second of five children. Father was language professor, so did a lot of relocating as a kid. BS in Environmental Science, MA in Museum Science, six years professional experience at various natural-science institutions, incl. Smithsonian and National Park Service. Has lived in North Carolina, Maine, Texas, Florida, Alaska, and several other states. Has tried bungee-jumping, hang gliding, sky diving, scuba diving and white-water rafting. Once wrestled a 12' python (not planned.)   Would like to land museum position which pays enough to do regular traveling. In the meantime, watches 'Pinky and the Brain' whenever she can.
