What shows can you think of that are "imprisoned" by their own networks? In other words, these shows are still owned by their respective networks today and only they have the rights to them, but those networks are not even airing them or distributing them anywhere whatsoever, nor are they...
About a year before it shut down, I went to this now-defunct Yahoo group called "-South_Park", and I saw all these posts from some user that I can't remember his name, and it contained information about his made-up British "character" for that show called "Sid Robinson", such as his...
Everything on Philo is just VOD content from Discovery Family, and the rest are all just "available to buy" (not stream) options. A lot of shows have way more options than just those things.
It is a prison to a lot of Hasbro's content that isn't anywhere on streaming. There's a bunch of shows that once aired there, implying that the network's owner still owns the broadcasting rights and won't let them be available outside of it despite them not airing there anymore, such as Family...
No clue. The same reason for The Adventures of Chuck and Friends. But what I do know is that Discovery Family will have to let go of all of Hasbro's shows someday within the next 7-9 months (so far, no shows owned by Hasbro have been permanently removed in 2024).
With Summer Camp Island replacing all My Little Pony content on weekends on Discovery Family starting this July, that means the channel will no longer be airing any MLP content of any kind whatsoever on weekends, including all Equestria Girls movies or specials. Discovery is doing this probably...
It will probably cost MLP: Friendship is Magic 60 minutes per weekday, meaning that the show can now only air three times per day as of then at maximum. Or the show might as well just stop airing altogether.
I couldn't decide where exactly to put this thread, knowing that it's a fan comic.
Anyways, in this comic strip, When Hana finds out that her brother Kenji broke her mirror, the next thing we know, that inevitable (and horrible) thing happens. Even their pet cat, Tora, witnesses this. Kenji...
I just want Hasbro to move to another service instead of staying on that miserable channel any longer so that more international productions of their works become available as well.
I did not mention the Equestria Girls specials no longer airing on weekends. Yes, they'll still be there for a while, but the full-length movies and Rainbow Roadtrip probably won't, due to their running times with commercials.
Good, because Hasbro's shows no longer belong on this channel...
A couple of more years? I thought their contract was supposed to end in less than one year.
And besides, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is no longer airing on weekends starting next month, with Looney Tunes taking its place. This is a clear sign for the network gradually wanting to get rid...
The worst example is that characters often leave with sore shins for committing certain crimes. Remember China's Qing dynasty?
Another example is that there is sometimes too much shouting (which is bad for anyone in real life), unlike in any of the three American soap dramas you mentioned.
I believe "K" dramas -- both shows and movies alike -- are equally naughty. Aside from being overemotional, a lot of them, especially those taking place centuries ago, also contain all kinds of violence that should never be tolerated in real life. Therefore, I myself avoid "K" dramas at all...
I still want at least the clip shows to be released somewhere in the US. Someone in the MLP Wiki told me that there's no telling when the decision to stop providing Discovery Family with new content was made, since it's not a valid source of proof to that point...
The show can't go down like that! Besides, IMO, protection of IPs + not profitable = completely banned from the public.
Therefore, I still want FiM and EG on any major service, no matter how much denial you all give me.
One user over on the MLP Forums kept on telling me that YouTube is far from a "Bad" place for the show to be displayed and is therefore the best place for MLP content.
But yesterday, look what just happened:
https://www.equestriadaily.com/2024/04/hasbros-legal-team-is-back-on-youtube.html...
According to last year's annual report from Warner Bros. Discovery regarding this channel:
"Hasbro, Inc. had the right to put the entirety of its remaining 40% interest in Discovery Family to the Company at any time during the one-year period beginning December 31, 2021, or in the event the...
Here's an expanded list of events that happened on Discovery Family within the last 10 years, from the time when Discovery re-acquired 10% of Hasbro's stake in the network to the present day.
2014: There were at least 14 shows produced by Hasbro that I can think of that were carried over from...
All I want is for Hasbro and/or Discovery Family to make any kind of announcement on what will happen to MLP: Friendship is Magic and the other four cartoons that Hasbro made.
And if the president/CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery doesn't do something about it, Hasbro might renew their contract with them again, and that cannot happen!
They could at least air Cartoon Network originals or any other WB cartoons that never aired on The Hub or Hub Network.
That's right, and before either of that can happen, Hasbro desperately needs to move to another network/streaming service or else all the shows go down the ship with Discovery Family, as long as they stay under contract with it.
So far, the last removed shows were Pony Life and LPS: A World of...
