This show is pretty much the best rendition of the Grim Reaper ever. According to the live blog, he was really just going to be a throw away guy, but was just too awesome not to use more.
Panther's energy blades came from the Priest written series. As did his secret manipulative nature (or at...
I agree with you, but Yost gave an argument that's hard to disagree with.
Paraphrasing, there's a lot of WW2 characters running around, Cap, Zemo, Strucker, Zola, the Red Skull eventually..likely Bucky/Winter Soldier....it gets to be a bit silly...and for Cap's story, his "man out of time/all...
They said at the insta-chat that she (and everyone) would have some costume changes, but economics make her being the clothes horse she is in the comics impossible.
Well, EMH has it in there.
Does he need it? Not really.. It's not a cause for his origin (as you mention Batman's parents) so much as a plot element. It gives him a weakness...makes him less of a tool.
I mean, if you think about Stark, he's not someone the common man is going to like too...
re Jarvis...in some promo piece they talked about that JARVIS is based on Tony's family butler.
And Yost has said they have ways of bringing in Jarvis if needed.
Her'e the latest from Yost on the EMH/WatXM front:
This, as are most "kid friendly" versions is MODOC, not MODOK. He mentioned it during his rant "Designed Only for Conquest"
EDIT: Which I see was covered.
With Simon's growing powers and such, it's setting up, or at least referencing Atlas/Goliath/Eric Josten who is ionic based and has...
I did say "It's been a long time since I watched UA, and I could be conflating the toon with the comic," I mean, it's right there, in the first line you quoted.
Heck, Yost has said as much, that Iron Man and Hulk are heavily influenced by the movie versions, while the others are more from the comics (as their movies are unkown). I suspect as Yost is working on the Thor movie, though, there's some stuff from the movie that creeps into the toon...
Priest's Black Panther back story..which is still what they go with in the books, is that he essentially joins the Avengers to spy on them..to see if this new group of super humans pose a threat to Wakanda. They look to be keeping part of that. We'll see where it goes.
huh, I thought it was...
I thought he was Story Editor. Him, Johnson, and Kyle are sort of a gestalt being anyhow swapping out pieces depending on the project. Like Car Voltron.
This is one of those weird issues coming out of the movieverse. I think you're not supposed to think about it too much...or everyone got...
I think Thor and Iron Man were being sincere...especially Thor.
Well there are several ways to interpret the line "The Red Skull got Bucky."
And as a Jewish American, I don't care one bit. It's a cartoon, not a history lesson.
Was there anything not awesome in this episode?
* Panther being awesome, spying on the Avengers, ala how Priest wrote him.
* Cap being awesome. I loved how when ever the shield would fly, it'd bounce back so that he'd end with his arm in the straps.
* Zemo was awesome...It's Zemo Sr. who I've...
But they reconcile and get back together (and he gets replaced by an alien, and she dies, but she'll be back and all is well). Comics!
Something I was very impressed with was how in the fight, Wasp and Enchantress didn't get matched up, but each was slugging it out with the guys on the...
I'm wondering if it's more a nod to the Hulk movie, as that was a scene cut from it.
I've yet to check to be sure, but I recall when watching the Iron Man SHIELD profile online, it mentions he leads the Avengers...the one they show on XD, though, says "instrumental in forming the Avengers"...
