Synopsis: Feel the boldness of adventure and the bravery of justice as you become Batman and his superhero teammates in the videogame based on your favorite animated TV series, Batman: The Brave and The Bold. Tread through the exciting terrain of the DC universe and test your might in this side-scrolling action thrill ride that will take you through crime-filled alleys, strange alien planets, abandoned underground cities, and mysterious island laboratories. Go behind the cowl of the Caped Crusader himself and team up with one of his many superhero friends to solve puzzles, fight dozens of foes, and discover new worlds as you battle to save the day and see if you truly have what it takes to be a superhero!

Game Features:
- Play alongside your friends as Batman or one of his most powerful allies, including Blue Beetle and Robin or call in the help of other heroes, like The Flash and Aquaman and flatten hose dastardly villains.
- Jump, swing, and punch through wild worlds including Gotham City, Science Island, London, and the Planet Oa.
- Unlock awesome gadgets such as Batarangs, the Plasma Sword, flash grenades, and more, to accomplish your missions and then extend the fun by replaying levels with your cool new tools.
- Control Batman’s number-one fan, Bat-Mite, with Nintendo DS by linking the Nintendo DS version with the Wii version and have Bat-Mite wreak havoc or fight alongside the super heroes in all of the levels in the Wii version!

[Desensitized]

The game is getting good reviews so far. Destructoid gave it a 8.0 and Joystiq gave it a 3.5/5 which are not too shabby.

I'll probably be able to get it this week, but like A Boy & His Blob, I hope it's not one of those games that gets great reviews but is ignored by the general audience.

Edit: Gameinformer gives it an 8.5 and 8.0

There's a shot of Sinestro in his post GLC duds and some new Batman robot/suit that hasn't been on the animated series yet.

Wished it was based off his Sinestro Corps War design. After seeing that one any other one just doesn't do it for me anymore.

That's true. Ever since the First Flight movie and the "Deep Cover for Batman!" episode of TBATB, it's been the Sinestro Corps suit. I think the last time we saw this particular suit in animation was the "Ring Toss" episode of The Batman?

Hey, a review of The Videogame from Kotaku! Seems like they saw more pros than cons, and no surprise they didn't like Guy Gardner too much.

Comic Book Movie Review

 

[Spider-Man]

I originally wasn't planning on picking up this game but opted to on the spot when buying Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. I finished the first episode and it's a really enjoyable game. It's fun and worth what I paid for it. It actually reminds me of the old BTAS game for the SNES and Genesis. So far I'm enjoying the game and I imagine I'll be finished with it way before I'm done the new Spider-Man game. I think fans who like the show will really like the game and the $40 price tag isn't too bad to be honest.

Has anyone played the DS version? Every review I've seen has been for the Wii, but I don't have that system. If this was for PS3, I'd be all over it. I'll probably buy it at some point anyway, but I'd like to see what people are saying about it before I decide when I get it.
