A screenshot from an AT&T presentation regarding their upcoming projects. (Posting this here, but note some are TV series, or animated or video games I think)

  • Black Adam
  • Static Shock
  • Blue Beetle (might be a TV series)
  • Batgirl
  • Aquaman 2
  • The Batman
  • Zatanna (might be a TV series)
  • Shazam! Fury of the Gods
  • The Suicide Squad
Good to confirmation on Static, Zatanna, and Blue Beetle. Seeing how DC has so many legacy characters, I wonder how they'll present BB. If the Flash gave us traditional Barry Allen, I'm willing to bet this will give us Ted Kord. This way he can have a Dan Garrett as mentor and we'll just have to wait on Jaime.

Well, in identity and profession, if not characterization.

I was gonna say this Barry Allen is a hybrid of the contemporary Flashes right down to Impulse coming from a dystopian future.

Well, his Arrowverse counterpart looks more like Wally than his comic book counterpart, after all.
I mean, maybe if he was a redhead...
I thought Grant Gustin's Barry Allen was more like Wally ever since he became The Flash because the show decreased his intelligence and increased his reliance on others, from building a suit to even figuring out creative uses of his powers/resolutions to problems. From what I understand the character was originally no different from the average scientist superhero and his more goofier (being clumsy & awkward) traits were added on in much much later stories to more overtly make him a Peter Parker analogue.

Well, comic Wally was pretty smart and self-sufficient and his whole thing was eventually surpassing Barry as The Flash. He just had a phase where he was mostly listless and a bit of a horndog.

Gustin's Barry took some traits and feats from Wally but as the show has gone along he's gotten more and more like comic Barry in personality.

From what I'm reading and just the history of the character as a sidekick and teen hero, he still had mainly other established characters & heroes to bring him up to speed on how to be one himself. This is also going to be rather ironic for Ezra Miller's Barry Allen, but he was still very much on his own discovering what he's capable of.

How far into the show, are we talking? Because I stopped at the 5th season.

Wally had Jay and Max Mercury as The Flash, although I wouldn't say they were constantly involved in his heroic journey.

I was more talking about the show from an overall standpoint.
