So if that's the full Phase 4 slate, then I guess we won't see X-Men or FF until Phase 5, along with the other sequels :).

Wonder where Spider-Man fits into it...

I’m guessing 2022 during the slate of sequels that weren’t announced yesterday.

Though I am surprised Phase 4 is so short (maybe due to the fact it's working with shows now thus they want to technically cover less years with these phases even if it's still honestly a lot more content) I'm pretty sure Phase 5's first year of 2022 will host Black Panther 2 (In February) Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3 (In May) and then Blade in July 29, 2022. I mean why announce they have the major role cast if it wasn't coming up pretty soon in the pipeline? I mean they announced Brie Larson as Carol Danvers 3 years before Captain Marvel so I imagine it's a similar thing here, especially since Feige has said ever since Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, every year he wants to do at least one movie that's a sequel to an existing series and at least one movie that's the start of a franchise. So it wouldn't just be three sequels in a row. And yeah that likely pushes Spider Man and Captain Marvel sequels to 2023 but that's the thing when you are juggling so many other different series and can't just focus on one.

When the Avengers return, it will be a different lineup. Some we met, some we haven't. Phase 4 will plant the seeds for it.

Thor: Love and Thunder will mark the end of Phase 4, fascinating!

What Marvel does with the X-Men will be "quite different."

There is still an unassigned 2021 slot for July still, unless Marvel decided to dump it.

I think it's pretty likely who we've met who will be on it (AKA those tentpoles who currently have running franchises), and probably reasonable to assume some new heroes might pop in as well ;).

I wonder if it'll be more of an Ant-Man Phase ender or surprise us :).

That's reasonable to assume to differentiate from the Fox movies. I just hope they still feel like the X-Men .

Quite different could easily mean starting from scratch with Xavier and mutant teens named Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Iceman, and Jean Grey.

There is still an unassigned 2021 slot for July still, unless Marvel decided to dump it.

That time is actually pretty crowded as you've not only got the Batman in late June and The Suicide Squad in early August that year, but also Sing 2 (well unless Secret Life of Pets 2 showed Illumination's formula has FINALLY run out), Mission Impossible 7, the long awaited sequel to Space Jam and Indiana Jones 5. So it's possible we may not see anything there. Thinking about it though not only would that be more up to Sony (who even if you believe that still unproven rumor about Spider Man Far From Home needing to make over a billion to still be under the MCU Umbrella, it's already at 970 million world wide. It's going to clear a billion by next week) but they don't seem like the type unlike Marvel to want to wait around to make sequels to their biggest brand especially since again this is a series dealing with young actors so they may ask to muscle in a slot next... next July guess we'll find out soon enough.

Quite different could easily mean starting from scratch with Xavier and mutant teens named Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Iceman, and Jean Grey.

As cool as it would be to get the original X-Men team (who were last together on screen in... X-Men: The Last Stand if people want to count that) with the multitude of mutant characters I imagine Feige and co would want to go with ones that really haven't had any focus in the films at all. I mean yeah Deadpool will still be a thing but besides that I'd imagine we would go with more unique X-Men before diving more into a team everyone is more familiar with. As stuff like Guardians and now Eternals prove Marvel will push characters even if they are obscure to viewers if they feel they have a story to tell with them or want to do something different.

I feel like back when they had planned "Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes" they talked about the structure of seasons (though they didn't get to the planned Supernatural season 3). So now we're in full Cosmic mode & soon we'll be in Supernatural mode.

Also, anybody else surprised we got no Nova announcement?

Well, he pretty much has creative control over all Marvel properties, aside from I guess Namor and whatever Spider-Man characters Sony doesn't give them...
He has Namor, too, I thought. They're just thinking of how to introduce him last I read.

Sony really doesn't even have that much pull over the characters. I don't think they own Spider Woman (Jessica Drew) at all.

Last I read the Namor rights were still murky, but you could be right ;).
Ok, I think the most recent comments were in April and October 2018. Feige, in April, agreed was complicated, "It is. I think there’s a way to probably figure it out but it does have — it's not as a clean or clear as the majority of the other characters." Then in October, his tune changed a little confirming Namor could appear in a movie then saying, 'still deciding IF & when.' Then this year, some rumors were fueled at separate times by Scott Derrickson and Dwayne Johnson but just rumors right now.

Kinda surprised the full Hulk rights haven't reverted by this point...
It might have been a perpetuity deal. I'm hoping that's the next goal of Disney/Marvel Studio in the wake of the Fox merger. Universal is basically refusing to give up the licensing rights to distribute Hulk movies out of spite because Marvel is clearly using Hulk in starring roles like in Thor: Ragnarok and the latest two Avengers movies without Universal making any revenue from the old deal. Obviously they're a business and want to make money so leaving the rights to collect dust won't fly for long. I could see them making a deal with Marvel that gives them either a flat fee for the distribution rights, or a deal that pays them a smaller amount of money up front and supplies them with a small portion of revenue from any solo Hulk movies that Disney releases. But Disney seems like it's in a way better position to negotiate to get the licensing rights back. I would think it's in Universal's best interest and best financial outcome to sell the rights back rather than renegotiate the deal, as soon as possible. There may be no plans for more solo Hulk movies but Disney is a stickler for having full rights to a character in their ledger.

Hopefully, with a lot of X-Men villains from the comics already being used in the Fox movies, Omega Red, Sauron and Mister Sinister would actually be great candidates for the first MCU X-Men film before focusing on setting up Magneto, the Brotherhood of Mutants, Apocalypse and the Sentinels.

Annihilus is already rumoured to be the main antagonist in the MCU Fantastic Four reboot which reports the team will get their powers in the 60s the same time Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne started their careers as Ant-Man and the Wasp. There's also rumours it might be set within that period.

Seems like we'd been hearing about Annihilus for awhile now. Basically, Fan4stic 2015 had the storyline of them getting powers there. I love the Hank Pym connection very much. I know a podcast suggested Jennifer Lawrence as Sue. Even though i do like the idea of husband & wife team John Krasinski & Emily Blunt.

Yeah, I still can't believe that was a thing.
Paramount and Skydance have officially merged. Does this mean that Brian Robbins got the boot?
Season 6 of Total Drama (production code-wise), Pahkitew Island, made its American debut a decade ago.

It's my favorite season of the show (behind all 3 of Total Dramarama's) and has the best cast of the series, which includes the 2 best characters of the franchise, Leonard and Max (who should've been the finalists).

Happy 10 year anniversary to The 7D.
