"Comic book writer Tom Veitch has passed away today due to contracting Covid-19. Brother to fellow comic book creator Rick Veitch, Tom had quite the career, both in and out of comics."
"In 1982 he entered into mainstream comics with The Light and Darkness War with artist Cam Kennedy for Marvel/Epic, but many will probably remember him most for reinvigorating the Star Wars franchise at Dark Horse with his writing on Dark Empire in 1991. Again working with artist Cam Kennedy. This series would be followed up with two sequels, Dark Empire 2 and Empire’s End.
Other mainstream comic work would follow with The Nazz, Animal Man and more."
