Pre Emptions: Fox Kids is no stranger to Pre-Emptions. Ever since the block began till the very demise of it. News, This week in baseball and many more have bugged Fox Kids since the early days. Fox Kids suffered from the most in September-October 2001 following the 9/11 attacks. Mainly the Weekday Block was pre empted. The problem was so bad Owned Stations moved the block to FOX-owned UPN stations. It did calm down in 2002 but it was still common.
New World Situation: As Fox brought NBC, CBS and ABC stations. These stations refused to air Fox Kids. Using the 8AM-12PM to 3PM-5PM slot for News and syndicated shows, Which mean't they aired on smaller stations
ABC Family: As you know. Fox Family Worldwide was given to Disney in October 2001. Which mean't they had the Fox Family Channel (Saban was still with Fox and left Fox for Disney in September 2002.) This also killed Fox Kids.

Initially, NEW WORLD had signed a affiliation deal with FOX for many of its stations….and New World had to sell channel 39 in San Diego and channel 13 (to satisfy FCC duopoly regulations) in Birmingham to NBC (2 years later) New World sold channel 6 in Birmingham and channel 8 in Piedmont directly to FOX. (to finalize their acquisition of Citicasters) New World wanted to affiliate its majority of stations with that network because of CBS' ratings. New World also acquired Argyle Television and Citicasters. New World had to sell channel 38 in Boston to Paramount. They also acquired 4 stations from Great American Communications. All FOX KIDS had to do save themselves was to sell the block to independent stations. (most FOX stations that affiliated with NBC, CBS or ABC all had Saturday Morning offerings) This extended later in 1995 to WB and UPN stations.
