David Corenswet is reportedly one of the top contenders to portray Superman and will do a screen test post-Memorial Day to early June but there are at least two other contenders in te mix. Jacob Elordi was talked about. Tom Brittney and Andrew Richardson were considered early one. Emma Mackey, Rachel Brosnahan, Phoebe Dynevor, and Samara Weaving were up for Lois. Word is Brosnahan gave an outstanding audition. Nicholas Hoult said to be Lex Luthor. But importantly, the filmmakers and studio are nowhere near a decision.
A rumor Gunn talked to someone in the Guardians of the Galaxy cast about Luthor but likely won't work out. And a role being tested for is codenamed Apex.
Another rumor black actors are being considered for Apex.
Gunn responded then also revealed only one person has been cast Legacy but it isn't any of the regular players in the Superman world.
