From time to time someone here always asks when some thing comes out. So for those that frequent the board and are curious as to when certain titles come out, I will do my best to keep this as updated as possible when new titles are announced etc. One thing I probably won't keep up on in great detail are animes. There are just too many to keep track of now a days.

New titles are announced almost everyday so keep checking back to see what's been added. I'll put a little exclamation point next to the newly added title to make it stand out right away. Movies will be in bold and TV titles in regular type.

One week after a street date has passed, I will delete that whole week to keep this list from growing really huge.

A note about the "RUMOR" tags. They are just that; rumor dates, so sprinkle salt conservatively. I usually hear these from
The Digital Bits, who gets them from their industry insiders etc. Their rumor dates, and what is later officially announced by the studios are usually dead on with of course the few exceptions that do end up happening. These dates are to give you a pretty good idea what the studios have planned.

One last thing- if anyone has any corrections for me regarding some of these release dates, post em' in a reply or PM me. And if anyone wants me to include animes in the dates, just post them and I'll include them in the main list.

It's not too big a deal anyway, because there's already a list of all anime titles released in a month in the Anime Forum.

BTW, you forgot Bebe's Kids, which is released today, and Jingle All the Way, which gets a re-release on Oct. 12th.

Mostly Pointless Correction: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind came out last Tuesday, not today.

I don't suppose anyone knows if they've set a firm date for Invader Zim Vol. 3?

It's out October 12th.

It's ironic, almost as soon as I logged off from posting that question, my girlfriend called me up to tell me the same thing.

...Wonder if Hastings will get it in on time for once. Doubt it, considering that the computer there still has no info at all on it.

I'm not sure. Warner Brothers had originally planned to have it come out in October, but they announced the title in late August for January 4th.

For marketing reasons, I don't know why they wouldn't have it out for the holiday buying season. One guess I have is because WB Home Entertainment has a ton of other titles coming out by the end of the year. Maybe they didn't need another of their titles competing with their other ones??? I don't know.

If anyone saw a press release or something why WB is waiting 8 months after it's theatrical release, please post it. The average time when a movie opens in a theater to when it comes to DVD is between 4 and 6 months. It's rare that a studio waits that long to put a title that was recently in theaters out on DVD. Most recently the LOTR titles. But that was a marekting ploy to help promote the new movie coming that December. ROTK was the exception because there were no more movies. The Extended cut of it coming out exactly one year later was because of the massive amount of work there was to do to put the whole 4 disc set together.

Yeah, I know. Word out of the Lucas camp is that all 20 of the Clone Wars chapters will be out on DVD in March sometime. Basically to a) promote Revenge of the Sith opening in May and b) the new 5 part 12 minute long Clone Wars sequel animated shorts will premiere in March or April on Cartoon Network.

Man, October is gonna be a hard month for the wallet. Worth every penny, though.

BTW, Spongebob Season 2 has been pushed back to 10/19.

I thought Clone Wars was going to be on DVD in March with all 25 eps edited together as one long movie, and that the 5 new eps were going to air in Nov?

Oh, and add Simpsons S5 to my list.

Nope. The next part of Clone Wars won't be out until early next year. Only the 20 chapters will be out on DVD then.

Looks like you also forgot Tom & Jerry: The Spotlight Collection, released on Oct. 19th.

EDIT: And Cliffhanger: Superbit, which comes out Oct. 26th. I don't know if you want to keep track of Superbits, though.

Tom and Jerry is now added.

You know, I actually thought about adding the Superbit stuff, but I ended up deciding not too. Does anyone here buy the Superbit titles?
