So, here are some anime ideas I have. Some are original ideas, while others are adapted from Western media. Here goes:

  1. Gopherzeen - Shounen, mecha, sci-fi, fantasy, action. A boy discovers a mech guarded by underground mole people, as well as a plot by those moles to take over the surface world. He steals the mech, named Gopherzeen, and eventually gets caught in an intergalactic war between moles, phoenixes, eagles, and mermen, all with their own mechs, while also trying to defend planet Earth. Think Gundam meets Avatar: The Last Airbender.
  2. Maou Phenomena - Seinen, magical girl, sci-fi, fantasy, military. The students of Kaori Junior High are introduced to a force much too powerful for this world. That force's name is Akane Tsukimachi, a 13-year-old transfer student from Milan, Italy, aka Atomic Knight, a monster-slaying magical girl soldier with a giant laser cannon and a rotten attitude. Standing in the way between her and her Heaven is the Demon King (Maou), and his army of Sins, such as the sin of Lust, Vilma, the sin of Gluttony, Roman, the sin of Greed, Tenshi-sama, and more. But somewhere within her rests a secret... a secret that could change our world forever...
  3. Renzokutai: Chronicles of the White Fang - Seinen, action, comedy, romance, sci-fi, mecha. Far away from Earth rests a planet called Gekidan. Gekidan is a planet just like our Earth, except not really. 90% of its lifeforms (people, animals, plants) are some percentage of robot, be it just a normal humanoid with a prosthetic limb, or a full-on cyborg or android, or even just a straight-up robot. Some are even just straight-up Transformers! Like our world, this planet has several continents with different cultures and different ways of life, except those continents are called "districts", or "sectors" depending on translation. Our main hero is from the Noulle district, the most high-class district on the planet, and his name is Kiba Archimedes. Kiba was once the prince of his district, which you might think would mean smooth-sailing for most of his life. But that's far from the truth. Kiba (like the other princes and princesses of each sector) was gifted with a magical energy that manifests itself in ice. This can be charged to form the Ice Caliber (Kouri no Koukei), an attack similar to Yusuke Urameshi's Spirit Gun. As such, he was often expected to ward off evil from his district. He was also expected to marry whoever the king would ask. This was taken advantage of by the nefarious Nekoxar, the giantess witch princess of the Uberland district, who tried to marry him in order to get to the king and take over Gekidan, and eventually the universe. Once Kiba found this out, he of course attempted to stop her, which resulted in a battle. Kiba won the battle, but did so in front of the residents, who saw Kiba beating up his fiancee and took that as an insult. This resulted in the court ruling Kiba AND the king as undesirables, which lead to them being exiled from Gekidan, and were supposed to be thrown in uninhabitable planets for what is essentially an execution (per Nekoxar's request, as she was plotting something even more nefarious). However, Nekoxar's goons, Mxyzpltr (Mickyspliter, according to manga romanization) and Jxzlytr (Jackslighter, according to manga romanization), sent him to Earth, figuring that he'd either be burnt up on entry or killed by the locals. Kiba crashlanded in Toyoma City, Japan, in the room of a high school boy named Akira Haganebashi, who had gone through a rough day at school, as his girlfriend made him sit through a school board meeting about the recent outbreak of sexual relations between students. Kiba and Akira did not exactly get along well, as crashing through the roof of someone's house isn't exactly the best first impression you can make, but eventually throughout the series, they form a pretty good relationship together. Other characters, like Yaiba, eventually appear, serving as either villains or love interests or even just friends. This series would definitely spawn at least some number of yaoi fanfiction, especially with the bishounen angle Kiba's design would take on.
Tomorrow, I'll move on to the next set.

Season 6 of Total Drama (production code-wise), Pahkitew Island, made its American debut a decade ago.

It's my favorite season of the show (behind all 3 of Total Dramarama's) and has the best cast of the series, which includes the 2 best characters of the franchise, Leonard and Max (who should've been the finalists).

Happy 10 year anniversary to The 7D.

I wonder what cartoons Caitlin Clark likes
Xilam is one of my most favourite animation studios, I enjoy alot of their cartoons from Hubert and Takako, Oggy and the Cockroaches and Zig and Sharko. Xilam is a studio that has inspired many and has created endless classics that we enjoy.

What's your most fond memory of Xilam?
Given how Drew Barrymore's production company Flower Films has mainly made live action projects for older audiences, them producing the TV special Olive The Other Reindeer and the Netflix preschool show Princess Power are definitely quite unusual. It would certainly explain the humor of the latter.
