"Though Dexter’s Laboratory is no longer available on Max, fans will soon have another way to watch the series. It was announced that all 78 episodes of the series, plus the one hour TV movie Dexter’s Laboratory: Ego Trip, will be released on a complete series DVD set. The set will be available for purchase online and in stores beginning June 25th.

Created by Genndy Tartakovsky, Dexter’s Laboratory centers on a boy genius named Dexter. He creates amazing inventions in his top secret and highly advanced laboratory that is attached to his room. But no matter what he does, he can’t stop his sister Dee Dee from messing up his work or otherwise creating problems, or his rival Mandark from constantly trying to top him. Dexter sets out to use his intelligence to solve his problems."

We all know that the complete series was already released to DVD, but in Australia. Even Ego Trip was featured in that set.

In the now, man
I'm assuming this is going to feature the previous first season release's discs, which won't include "Babequor", and I also don't see "Dexter's Rude Removal" being included, but it's been so long that I wouldn't expect anything else. Getting Ego Trip is enough of a win, especially after the Ed, Edd n' Eddy set skipped its movie and most of its specials.

I like how Dexter engulfs the cover, more interesting than the plain covers from Ed, Edd, n Eddy and Foster’s.

Honestly though while I appreciate several cartoons recently getting their series on disc, they all seem very belated. Dexter’s Lab I think should’ve got it’s complete series released around the time as Powerpuff Girls in 2009, while TMNT 2003, Ed, Edd, n Eddy and Foster’s recently got their complete series on DVD but they should’ve come out a decade earlier at the latest when physical media was still more prevalent. Though better late than never, Warner Bros. has been far from perfect at getting shows on physical but I appreciate they are better at it than most other studios. (I’m looking at you Disney)

Agreed, I remember way back when audibly sighing when I see these "volumes" and individual season sets getting released, only for them to give up on releasing the rest of them (with staggering consistency!)

Mentally conditioning your customers to not buy DVD's doesn't make sound business sense to me, but what do I know.

Then again, mentally conditioning your customers by giving them half ass releases with no special features and extra content on complete series DVD sets doesn’t sound business sense to me. Right, Warner Bros?!

Then again again, I’m not a DVD collector personally, so what do I know?

I hope I can get this in my country but I doubt it. Maybe I can get it from the US to ship so I can get it. I love complete series that I can't wait to possibly get this one.

It isn't likely. Mainland Europe has gotten very few CN originals on DVD:

1. The Powerpuff Girls (season 1 + the movie)
2. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (season 1, only in Germany/Austria/Switzerland)
3. Star Wars: Clone Wars
4. Ben 10 (original series)
5. The Secret Saturdays (season 1, part 1)
6. Ben 10: Alien Force
7. Generator Rex (season 1)
8. Adventure Time (season 1)
9. Ben 10: Ultimate Alien

It's more likely now than 5 years ago, though.

I saw a commercial for Dexter's Lab the Complete Series when I watching Futurama on Adult Swim today.

Yeah, the DVD set is making big waves, which is cool.

If only they can do the same thing with Ed Edd n Eddy...

It should be noted that this wasn’t the first attempt at a complete series release in the USA (or at least, most of what had been released up until that point). In 1999, Cartoon Network and Subway teamed up for a promotion entitled the “Dexter Super Computer Giveaway”. The grand prize of that contest was the first two seasons on DVD. Notably (well, up until recently with this set that is), this was the only release of Season 2 in the US. I don’t think any pictures of this DVD are online though.

As for this new release, I’m glad that it has happened. The 90s Cartoon Network shows are probably my second most wanted era of Hanna Barbera cartoons that I want to see on DVD in it’s entirety (my most wanted era to see in it’s entirety on DVD of course, is Hanna Barbera’s pre-1970 output).

Has anyone seen PSI Cops last night?

Yeah, I still can't believe that was a thing.
Paramount and Skydance have officially merged. Does this mean that Brian Robbins got the boot?
Season 6 of Total Drama (production code-wise), Pahkitew Island, made its American debut a decade ago.

It's my favorite season of the show (behind all 3 of Total Dramarama's) and has the best cast of the series, which includes the 2 best characters of the franchise, Leonard and Max (who should've been the finalists).

Happy 10 year anniversary to The 7D.
