"An American Tail" and "The Little Mermaid" and "The Secret of MINH" and "American Pop" were also good for 1980's animated movie cartoons.

I never knew what anime was at the time, I just knew i liked those
particular shows much better than the domestic cartoons on at the time.
So I'd always try to get up in time for GI joe and transformers

watching em all over again they were realy cheesy especialy GI joe
but at the time it was all i realy actualy wanted to go out of my way to see

Easy, most networks like to move on and forget the past which also is another way of saying they're stupid.

Let's see, I was like 6 when the 80s ended, so for the most part it's hard remembering those shows, but I'll try.

I definitely watched My Little Pony. And I LOVED the Rainbow Brite Movie. I was actually just talking about that 5 minutes ago, and how the movie themesong sounded a lot like The New Edition.
Of course I watched Transformers (points to name).
Oooh, then I vaguely remember that show the GlowWorms! And The Care Bears.

The Real Ghostbusters
Widget The Worldwatcher
Denver the Last Dinosaur
Dinosaucers
Thundercats
Muppet Babies
The Wuzzles (or is it the Woozles?)
The Popples
Gummibears

Hmm, that's all I can readily think of. Which was more than I thought I would come up with.

My experience with 80s cartoons was mostly by way of re-runs, and I was a tween, so here's a little memory workout...

Danger Mouse - Danger Mouse had a white car with wings that came out of it, correct? I remember watching this pretty regularly, and just thought he had a cool car...

Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers - I was a big fan of this, loved it. I watched this religiously.

Transformers - I remember this very vaguely. The one episode I have the best memory of is the fight for the Dinobots, who I think were stuck in a tar pit or something. Ironically, the one episode of this series I remember is of those Dinobots, and I later became a big fan of especially Dinobot and Beast Wars...

Ghostbusters - I really, really liked GB. I thought they a cool array of transportation, especially that cool little helicopter in the back of their car, which I always liked when they used it, which was sparingly.

??? - This show has been driving me nuts because I can't remember the name of it. It was about a little shape shifting alien who I think hid out in a cave or somewhere, and had a cool circular spaceship. Does anyone know the name of this? He'd shapeshift into a 'Robocop' type costume sometimes and a number of other forms I can't remember. He befriended a group of kids every episode and adventures ensued... was it Widget the Worldwatcher...?

Thanks to majesty 329's comprehensive list, most of those shows I vaguely remember and remember watching some of them. Boy this thread is a memory jogger :D...

I'm not too sure about the shapeshifting into a "robocop" type costume, but everything else sounds like Widget the Worldwatcher. I also remember that he came from the Horsehead Nebula (an actual nebula, by the way), and that in later episodes he had a friend named Half-Pint.

And, wow, thanks again to majesty 329's list for those I forgot:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (DUH!)
Dennis the Menace
Heathcliff
DuckTales
Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers
BeetleJuice
Garfield
The Littles
And possibly Teddy Ruxpin

The New Woody Woodpecker Show was just removed from Peacock... Can this show just take a break from being screwed over?
