As of December 31, 2023, all 11 children's cable TV networks each now have less than 200,000 viewers, according to Nielsen. Here's where we stand now:
Nickelodeon - 190,000 (97,000 less than last year)
Cartoon Network - 146,000 (35,000 less than last year)
Disney Junior - 133,000 (50,000 less than last year)
Disney Channel - 132,000 (46,000 less than last year)
Nick Jr. - 112,000 (57,000 less than last year)
Nicktoons - 58,000 (7,000 less than last year)
TeenNick - 51,000 (the only channel that actually gained more viewers)
Boomerang - 41,000 (11,000 less than last year)
Disney XD - 32,000 (21,000 less than last year)
Discovery Family - 28,000 (10,000 less than last year)
Universal Kids - 21,000 (2,000 less than last year)
This would probably be a good time for all shows still airing on any of these channels that currently aren't available on any streaming services to move to Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, etc., depending on who owns and operates these networks. Nielsen also stated that "kids aren't watching linear TV, and they're certainly not watching linear TV in primetime".
