When I watched the show on Disney XD back in 2017. I was surprised to see that the show wasn't airing on CN since WB animation produced it. Anyone know why this was the case?
Yeah agree with most of thee stuff that has been posted here. CN has been decent overseas due to cable still be profitable so it isn't all doom and gloom. But I will say this streaming and other digital services are going through kind of going through a lot of the moment. Hey who knows what the...
I think it depends tbh. I feel like the PR seasons in the mid 2000s were really good and would have done well on the channel. However, Disney owned the series at that time.
I know PR has aired on Cartoon Network in other nations. However, that was for a few years. I feel like this was the only Live Action show that would have done well on the Network. What do you guys think about it?
I'm not sure if this fits within this thread but I was discussing with my friend about the future of the video games industry. We're seeing XBOX scaling down, Sony is still trying to figure out what they're doing with the PS5, and then lastly Nintendo is trying to still bank on the success of...
Oh I understand. I guess I should've been more clear. For me personally a la carte should've been available in the 2000s or the early 2010s. It's kinda of late to do it now like you mentioned.
I know there are some drawbacks but I think its better for the consumer. I mean in the end we'll never know because it's never been tried in the US. But in other nations I've seen its been successful and you never know how it could've been dealt out.
Yeah Hulu should've been Disney, FOX, CBS, NBC, Sony, AMC, Discovery, and etc putting all their content there. Plus also merging Hulu with cable (assuming there was a a la carte available) would have put Netflix down in the gutter for sure.
Yeah pretty much this. The market should've never tried to push everything to streaming. Finding different ways for people to watch content is what made them profitable.
I know his name is controversial but Rupert Murdoch did suggest that if other media companies wanted to get into streaming it...
Yeah when I went to Europe a lot of people said they still watch cable/satellite due to how they price it. And that is even with the presence of streaming being a thing. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this but John McCain wanted to Pass a bill to allow a la carte in the country. However, it...
I know this this response is a bit late but you never know. I still think cable can still be viable but the companies and government have to find a way to make if affordable again for the average joe. The way streaming is going there could be some resurgence.
This thread has proved how much of a mess CN is in. Like I've said since Snyder left The channel has been mismanaged terribly. If only executives had listened to the fans I do believe the channel could be in a much different place. But oh well. At least I have the memories of this channel.
I...
