I’m not a nihilistic guy at all. I’m an optimistic guy. Sometimes, I could be wrong about the current situation at CN and I would love for CN to get back up its feet again, but an optimistic guy in me is not going to deny the the reality.

I think its more of a combinations of a lot of different factors rather than just YouTube.

There are far too many other factors involved to put all of the blame solely on one platform.

True. I might give Stuart Synder way too credit, but as much as I don’t like CN Real at all, but at least they tried to attempt to do something new. Yeah, it wasn’t that good by any stretch of the imagination, but at least you can say it was something.

Hell, say what you will about CN in 2017 where they advertise TTG more than any other show on the network, at least they still have other shows.

This is probably the most dead that Cartoon Network has ever been in quite some time.

Also one other thing to note is they keep scheduling “I Am Curious Ed”/“No Speak Da Ed” and pulling it. It happened again on May 6, when Ed Edd n Eddy returned to Monday-Thursday rotation. They have now looped back to season one this week, so it won’t have another chance to air for months. With other shows that skip episodes like Dexter’s Lab, they simply don’t schedule the missing episodes. It may be a content issue preventing it from airing, since one segment of the episode involves where babies come from. The title is a reference to “I Am Curious Yellow” which is an infamous 60s porn film which was initially banned and then subject to an important Supreme Court decision ruling it not obscene. Though it is very strange to think an episode that premiered on CN in the city era can’t air on AS, they may be trying to avoid controversy by not airing it.

Man, Looks like CKP is pretty much done for. And I have a feeling that Toonami rewind might end taking over CKP’s lineup tbh. I have to be honest here, I believe CKP is just for nostalgic money making purposes, meaning ratings probably don’t matter for reruns of the show. It’s funny, because CKP did actually performed well when it first launched, but it seem like since the beginning of this year the schedule kinda went downhill, and right now we just have two shows on the schedule. CKP either needs to fix the schedule by adding another hour or two, or they can might as well make the block go bye-bye and let Toonami rewind take over…

they NEED more variety before it's TOO late! or at least bring courage back! since B&M was gone temporarily & was eventually brought back to the block! at least dexter's taking a break from the block after being aired since the block's launch & they need to keep SJ since it's new to the block!

Interesting theory. I previously theorized that Toonami Rewind is meant to test the waters for not a weekday Toonami Rewind, but a weekday standard Toonami (though with the rewind shows intact, at least until further notice). I could even see it expand to 7 PM, with Superman following the Rewind block. New stuff would air Fridays outside of the Saturday Midnight Run, and the new weekday block would focus on more PG shows while Midnight Run would continue its more mature focus.

POSSIBLE WEEKDAY SCHEDULE

5 PM: Naruto (then shifting to Naruto Shippuden when that’s over)
5:30 PM: Sailor Moon
6 PM: Dragon Ball Z Kai (x2)
7 PM: One Piece
7:30 PM: Samurai Jack (first four seasons)
