It’s making its premiere at Annecy. Germany and Switzerland are among the first countries to release it theatrically on August 1, 2024.

WB is distributing it in Germany while Praesens-Film is releasing it in Switzerland.

Gotta say, I’m pretty surprised this isn’t going direct-to-DVD. This definitely is going to be my number one must see movie of 2024!

"It doesn’t look good for the possibility of Coyote Vs. Acme seeing release, but AT&T put more than one Looney Tunes movie into production during their brief overlordship of WB. The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie is almost done, has an outside distribution deal with GFM Animation, and WILL see release sometime this year.

The movie is about Daffy Duck and Porky Pig having to reluctantly work together to stop an alien invasion, but before that happens, it appears they have a job as home renovators. The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie is directed by Pete Browngardt (creator and voice of Uncle Grandpa) and features the voice of Eric Bauza as both Daffy and Porky."

ngl it's kinda funny how this, a 2-D hand-drawn animated film, got thru the WBD walpurgisnacht fine and dandy (and yet wasn't cheered as much), yet coyote vs acme, a cg-hybrid film filled with celebrities and big names, didn't (and now there's an entire movement hellbent on releasing it)

I’m hoping it’s by the end of the year. A Fall release window could be a challenge because GFM Animation is hoping to find a distributor that can give it a well deserved wide release.

We’ll get a release window once GFM sells it in North America. I’m also alright if it is not released until 2025 but it should be before the big tentpole seasons occupied by the major studios.

Apparently in Germany, Porky's name is Dick the Pig.
