I seriously doubt it would. Avatar was only successful due to the novelty of the 3D technology it utilized, which is nothing special these days.Would it though?
I think that would've been too morbid a way of working him into the movie unless it was to tease them rebuilding him...

I personally didn't care for it, especially pairing all these characters together who barely even interacted prior to this single scene where they're somehow all together, but I guess I wasn't the audience for it

I know by The Falcon and The Winter Soldier it became a thing. Not sure about Endgame, by the time old Steve passed on the shield, blinders were on and I was feeling the feels of everything that happened in the movie.I wonder how many people actually noticed...
