Namesake: Giorno (Italian for “day”) / Gold Experience (album by Prince)
Born Haruno Shiobana, Giorno is the son of the vampire DIO (using Jonathan Joestar’s body) and a Japanese woman. Inspired by a nice gangster who helped him as a child, Giorno has made it his mission in life to become part of the mafia and rise through its ranks to become its leader, determined to stop the drug trade that has targeted Italy’s youth. Sometime recently, his hair turned from black to blonde and he manifested a Stand known as Golden Wind, which has the ability to give anything it touches life. Giorno most often uses this ability to transform inanimate objects into living creatures.

A member of the Passione mafia, Bruno is one of the more righteous members, sharing Giorno’s desire to uproot the organization from the inside. His Stand, Zipper Man, can create zippers, which can either sever things in two or create pocket dimensions within objects that can hold either himself or other items.

Guido Mista
Voiced by: Sean Chiplock
Stand: Six Bullets (JP: Sex Pistols)
Abilities: Bullet Control and Enhanced Reloading
Stats: Destructive Power - E / Speed - C / Range - B / Persistence - A / Precision - A / Developmental Potential - B
Namesakes: “Insalata mista” (Italian for “mixed salad”) / Sex Pistols (British punk rock band)
Mista is the laid-back member of Team Bucciarati, the most sociable and carefree with a desire for an easy life, a calmness that helps him to focus even in the heat of battle. At the same time, he is the most prone to casual violence for the pettiest of reasons. Mista also has an intense phobia of the number four, refusing to get into situations where the number comes up. Mista’s Stand, Six Bullets, is a Colony Stand type made up of six bullet-like creatures (numbered 1 to 7, skipping 4) that can help guide and control the bullets shot out of Mista’s gun via rebounding shots mid-air, as well as reloading the gun for Misa. Despite being Stands, each of the Six Bullets have distinct personalities separate from their user, can have conversations with Mista, and even eat food.

Narancia is the most child-like member of Team Bucciarati, possessing a rather bratty personality. But he is incredibly loyal towards his friends, viewing them like family. His Stand, Li’l Bomber, takes the form of a small toy airplane with all the capabilities of a real fighter plane, including machine guns and bombs as weapons, as well as a radar that Narancia can use to track enemies via the carbon dioxide they exhale.

Trish Una
Voiced by: Lizzie Freeman
Stand: Spicy Lady (JP: Spice Girl)

Namesakes: Trish Gott (American model) / “una” (Italian for “one”) / Spice Girls (British pop group)
The estranged daughter of the Passione’s boss, Trish never knew her father and lived the first 15 years of her life with her mother until her passing. After this, she found herself placed under the mob’s protection, switching hands until winding up in the care of Buccarati’s group. Now she is targeted by her own father and his personal assassins, who intends to snuff her out to ensure his identity remains secret. While on their journey, Trish has manifested her own Stand, Spicy Lady, who has the ability to soften any material it touches into a rubber-like consistency.

Vinegar Doppio
Voiced by: Griffin Burns
Stand: Epitaph (sub-ability of Emperor Crimson)
Ability: Precognition
Stats: Destructive Power - A / Speed - A / Range - E / Persistence - E / Precision - Unknown / Developmental Potential - Unknown
Namesakes: Vinegar (aqueous solution of acetic acid, often used in flavoring food) / Doppio (Italian for “double”) / Epitaph
Vinegar Doppio is the consigliere, underboss, of Passione, being the only one in the organization to report directly to the Boss and send out his orders. To most, Doppio appears to be a meek, cowardly teenager, and for the most part this is true. But when it comes to the Boss, Doppio is fiercely loyal and will do anything to serve him. In actuality, however, Doppio is really the Boss’s alter ego, a split-personality which allows him to move undetected while maintaining his anonymity. Doppio is completely unaware of this, but receives orders by talking to the boss through random objects that he believes are telephones. Doppio is able to use a portion of Emperor Crimson’s power, namely the precognition ability of Epitaph to see five seconds into the future, as well as briefly materialize Emperor Crimson’s arms for self defense.

Diavolo
Voiced by: Kellen Goff
Stand: Emperor Crimson (JP: King Crimson)
Ability: Time Erasure and Precognition
Stats: Destructive Power - A / Speed - A / Range - E / Persistence - E / Precision - Unknown / Developmental Potential - Unknown
Namesakes: Diavolo (Italian for “devil”) / King Crimson (British rock band)
Diavolo is the elusive leader of the Italian mafioso gang known as Passione. His identity is a complete mystery that he intends on upholding at all costs, which has now been threatened upon the discovery of his long lost daughter Trish. His Stand, the terrifying Emperor Crimson, has the seemingly unstoppable ability to perceive ten seconds ahead into the future and erase the events that would have transpired during that time (example: If someone tries to shoot the Boss with a gun, the Boss can erase the moment that the bullet would have pierced his body and remain unharmed). No one other than the Boss is able to remember or perceive those ten seconds, and only the Boss can alter events during it.

Secco
Voiced by: Erik Kimerer
Stand: Sanctuary (JP: Oasis)
Abilities: Ground Liquefaction and Physical Enhancement
Stats: Destructive Power - A / Speed - A / Range - B / Persistence - A / Precision - E / Developmental Potential - C
Namesakes: Secco (Italian for “dry”) / Oasis (English rock band) / "Sanctuary" (song by The J. Geils Band)
Secco was once one of Cioccolata's patients, but something about him caught the mad doctor's attention and the two formed a sort of kinship. On the surface, Secco is loyal like a dog, obeying Cioccolata's every order and making nonverbal gestures like an animal. Underneath, however, he is very intelligent to a dangerous degree. His Stand, Sanctuary, is worn over him like a suit, only exposing his eyes (though can be lowered to just under his mouth). Its ability (in addition to increasing Secco's speed and physical power) allows Secco to turn any surface into the consistency and texture of mud; This can be quite dangerous when used alongside Green Tea, as the mud sinking beneath a target's feet would lower their altitude, causing them to succumb to Green Tea's mold.

Episodio 32 (145)
“Green Tea and Sanctuary, Part 3”
Chapters adapted: 563-567

Previously on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure:
While making light of Secco's poor verbal skills, Bucciarati was suddenly overwhelmed by the punches of Secco, who rebounded his fists from the ground to increase his speed and power. Giorno and Mista climbed the building holding Cioccolata's helicopter, but when Mista fired Six Bullets inside, they couldn't find Cioccolata and instead they and Mista were wounded. Giorno and Bullet No. 5 entered the helicopter, but Cioccolata had surgically separated his body into pieces, which were able to stay living thanks to Green Day's mold.

Cioccolata attacked Giorno, trying to force him downwards and trigger the mold. Giorno managed to launch one of Mista's bullets into Cioccolata's head and he apparently fell dead, but Giorno suspected that he was faking. Cioccolata sat up and announced that his severed arm was ready to kill Mista. However, the bullet Giorno shot into Cioccolata's head transformed into a beetle which chewed through his skull. Giorno used Golden Wind to viciously pummel Cioccolata to death and send his body flying into a garbage truck.

Underground, Secco called Cioccolata on his cell phone, but to no answer. Secco then noticed and listened to a voice message from Cioccolata, stating that they are invincible and that he loved Secco. As Secco again prepared to attack Bucciarati, the scene was being watched through binoculars from a man in the Colosseum.

Now:
One fierce battle ends in Cioccolata’s defeat, but another unfolds after Secco listens to Cioccolata’s final voicemail. Bucciarati sinks into an intense underground struggle to stop Secco from reaching the secret at the Colosseum.

Oh yeah, and Polnareff's back.

How does his Stand go from being named after a Britpop band to being named after a Utada Hikaru song?

Last time: Cioccolata walks the empty street on the Boulevard of Broken Bones.
(uggh, I don't even like that song)

And good riddance.

How will Oasis handle his wonderwall being dead?

Good thing you don't want to hang out with him, since he's, you know...dead.

Hard to fight a guy who Casts No Shadow....cause he moves underground.

Anybody ever tell you you talk as much as a Bleach villain?

Something tells me you're going to be eating a lot more dirt very soon.

Uggh! That wasn't dirt!

Hey Polnareff. How are the toilets here?

Oh boy. Of all people for Secco to take hostage.

Taking the boss hostage. This won't look good in your performance review.

Those are some convenient garbage trucks. Two villain pickups in one night.

Well, I must be reading Shel Silverstein.
Because it looks like Secco just found out...where the sidewalk ends.

No champagne supernova for you, Secco. Will you settle for sangria?

But wow, totally disowns Cioccolota for losing. Guess at this point is should have been apparent to me that there's not much in the way of loyalty and that's why the Boss was so protective of his identity. Makes sense Secco was that kid on the playground eating dirt during recess. And gets even more gross. But Bucciarati is still the strategist after all. Wow, how random, he picks Doppio. lmao, the same garbage truck. Give that guy props for keeping on working during a crisis.

Sounds like Polnareff tried to power up on that arrow but it failed and he got worked over by Diavlo and Crimson. Curious to learn how they crossed paths since I figured the Boss' organization was just Italy and not also France.

Ooo, these endings aren't doing my heart any good. >_< Gonna be gut wrenching if Bucciarati doesn't make it to the end.

I wonder what cartoons Caitlin Clark likes
Xilam is one of my most favourite animation studios, I enjoy alot of their cartoons from Hubert and Takako, Oggy and the Cockroaches and Zig and Sharko. Xilam is a studio that has inspired many and has created endless classics that we enjoy.

What's your most fond memory of Xilam?
Given how Drew Barrymore's production company Flower Films has mainly made live action projects for older audiences, them producing the TV special Olive The Other Reindeer and the Netflix preschool show Princess Power are definitely quite unusual. It would certainly explain the humor of the latter.
According to TVInsider, MTV2 will premiere Sponge on the Run movie on Sat Jul 13 at 6pm
