If there is one thing I've learnt about the media industry is that common sense is often an optional extra, which means logical speculation just goes out the window.

That was a transitional (yet odd, very odd) era, but it's not supposed to last long.. actually, I believe traces of the old logo in the US and LA have disappeared already

Hopefully, EMEA will be more careful about this

I have good news! Disney XD Canada and Disney Junior Canada to be relaunched by Corus Entertainment on Tuesday 1st December.
It must be official, VMedia is a Cable TV provider in Canada.

It must be official, VMedia is a Cable TV provider in Canada.

DHX should have sold DXD and DJ to Corus, because there is only so much programming that they can get for the three Family channels.

It does sound crazy, but I don't think Family/DHX will go away without a fight because of Corus's near monopoly. DHX have their own content, but it's not enough, In my opinion they would have to depend on European acquisitions and possibly even anime for their CHRGD channel.

Fun fact: Cartoon Network's Dutch Facebook page is not even made by Turner. It's from Triade Media, the company that arranges the Dutch ad blocks.

So it's useless to ask them anything, since they get most information from the same highlights and schedules as I get via e-mail

Here's the Disney World preview. The brand pack looks like the old Wonderful World of Disney bumpers (before the last rebrand), but edited. The new block is a mix of Disney Junior and Disney Channel. Looks bad.


The interesting thing is: the voice over is Estela Ribeiro, she's the official DJ announcer and acts on a show called "Parquinho".

Today during the airing of "Recess: School's Out" (the movie aired in 4:3 pillarbox) on Disney Channel PL the commercial break had the ad block outro and an ident swapped.

Disney Channel EMEA will premiere Descendants on September 18 at 17:00.

Ironically, some of that cheap stuff is DHX stuff, so it will most likely air on the newly reformatted channels.

Speaking of NHK, DC Korea started to air an anime on NHK Educational TV entitled Wasimo every weekdays at 4:30p from this Monday. Here's the plot summary on animenewsnetwork.com and next bumper.

Hiyori's grandmother died. To stop her crying all day and every day, Hiyori's father built a humanoid robot called "Wasimo," looked just like her granny (sort of), complete with dentures. It walks faster than a snail but slower than a rhinoceros beetle; in fact, however, it can outrun a bullet train.

And judging by past experiences, there's a high possibility that DC Korea could adopt the fall graphics package next Tuesday but it unexpectedly refreshed its summer commercial bumpers late last week. Here's one of them.

Anyways, yes; a hypothetic launch on OSN would mean Disney Channel EMEA HD (a simulcast).. still, it doesn't mean that it'd launch on all platforms where DC EMEA is carried on the same day
But prob. the UK team is slowly expanding DC HD in the countries where the CEE/EMEA versions are carried
