Also, for some strange reason other than cross-promotion, Sega's website for Sands Of Destruction is hosting the third episode in English for free. BTW, it's not available on Funi video yet and requires 99 cents to view it on YouTube. http://www.sega.com/sod/#/multimedia

First the good news: All(?) 42 episodes of the original Mobile Suit Gundam have been uploaded on Crunchyroll. Now, the bad news, they're all dub-only. More to the point, it's just Bandai Entertainment's DVD masters; the DVDs couldn't include the original Japanese versions of the episodes due to contractual reasons.

(The question mark is because, although it appears that every episode was uploaded, wasn't there one episode that Tomino requested to be removed?)

Correct. The original episode count was 43. The episode has to do with a kind-hearted Zeon soldier that's taking care of war orphans, I believe. Nice idea, but there's sadly no getting around the fact that the episode is rather badly made. I saw some of it at a panel once. Some things are off model, animation is relatively low tier, and there were even continuity mistakes--Gundam would be equipped with different weapons in different footage shots for the same longer scene.
