Those were golden, it makes sense to air them at night since advertisers find newer shows more appealing.

I feel like a compromise would be to AT LEAST air. shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show at around 9pm-10pm, plus maybe a "real" classic at 11pm

If not something like Checkered Past at least that, in EMEA

I have fond memories of things like Cultoons on CN Italy in the very early 00s, airing classics (of that era) in the 9/10-midnight fringe

In general, 21:00-0:00 has been, in the past, associated to older shows

Better than nothing. I easily had a chance to watch them on weekends at least as I got to sleep until the afternoon the next day.

If there were going to choose a classic show, I think it would be Courage. It seems to be the most popular among international CN feeds.

HQ had a slightly better schedule. I do believe they had their own classic late night lineup in mid 2014...

It wasn't late night. They had an Old School block in the late afternoon hours precisely a month after losing access to the channel.

It was one month after that fateful December 3, 2013 that the block premiered, and by October the block was no more and the shows were put back to regular rotation.

These days literally no feed is perfect, especially since CN is caught between two futures, and it has been that way over here since 2018 or 2019, don't know really as I stopped caring at all. Basically we lost an all-English kids network as, excluding audio tracks, all that we've got nowadays is in Portuguese. Kids with cable in my childhood became polyglots thanks to subtitled Doraemon with Spanish audio and CN in English without subtitles, but these days those ideas are like afterthoughts.
