Hi, I'm back. I'm going to delete my post above and replace with longer responses.
Residual for home video, including digital copies are cheapest at 0.3% that haven't raised since 1985. When compared to rerun on linear TV and streaming services, residual can be much as 5%-10%, depending on individuals and popular actors tend to get most share of residuals.
Good news - Disney put their movies and 20th Century movies on sale frequently, usually $5 for live action/non-Disney animated and $10 for Disney animated, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel and Lucasfilm. You have to use CheapCharts app every Tuesday and Friday to check if there is discount.
It is not good for animators and I do think that many of them found job with other companies like Skydance, Illumination, etc.
Oops, I means Murdoch without mention first name. They are empire.Lachlan Murdoch, his son, actually owns Fox Studios. In fact, Rupert has retired recently.
I see, I haven't seen this movie until you told me.a shame, plus they sold bikeriders to universal a month before they would have release the film
They already did again after streaming services become more expensive after series of price hikes and yeah, licensing and residuals are very expensive.now im scared that the people are going to try to pirate the 20th century films if they can't pay for it

Disney is horrible with DVD releases and it is real shame, so poor to collectors.yes and dvd too
Movie theaters are interested to show those movies, they would have to negotiate with Disney, so it may take months or years unless Disney open the vault for movie theaters. It is not easy requests anymore.well, what about ice age 2002 re release in 2022 & alien 1979 as of recently
Honest with you, I wasn't surprised that Blue Sky Studios is going to close in few years after acquisition finalized and move all to internal animation department, but it turned out that many of them lost their job, so they got laid off rather than reassignment to other internal studios. I know Rio sequel with Disney label would be possible, depends on Disney's mood.yes, that the one I upset about and that's how I have fears over the future of the library & ip
