People don't know a lot of these bad tropes they complain about in western media came from anime or trying to imitate anime in some shape or form.

I've been away for far too long..... I just had a lot to do IRL, unfortunately.

Maybe it's time for us Americans to stop taking stuff from and/or imitating anime so damn much & get creative in a real way again, like we used to be, please & thank you very much.

A few examples that come to mind are Thomas & Friends and Bob the Builder. I used to like these shows when I was I kid. They have adult followings and their reboots got a lot of hate. But I don’t think their originals hold up well. I grew up with a ton of preschool shows but many haven’t aged well. Sagwa, Busytown, and Oswald are probably the only ones I’m nostalgic for.
