I'm still perplexed that Toei went with 02 first than the original. My best guess has to be rights. Also, 4Kids still has DoReMi and is still streaming it on their properties and YouTube.

And, Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro will begin streaming on Hulu and Viz Anime on Feb. 18. It will be known as Neuro. From seeing some of the episodes last year, it was creepy.

Fantastic! I've been hoping they'd bring Neuro stateside for a while now. Now I can finally watch it.

It looks like 4Kids may have gotten streaming rights to Viz and Bandai titles for Toonzaki. If you look on their Facebook wall when someone wrote,
I hope you guys can get the Viz Media titles, too. I also hope you guys can get the Bandai Entertainment titles, too!
...they replied,
If we could only get to 2011 "likes" so we could start announcing things...
So they probably won't officially announce it until they get 2011 likes on FB, but that's a pretty suggestive hint.

Series Description: Feudal Japan is set to bear witness to the bloody clash of titans as two fearsome ninja tribes are unleashed, one upon the other. For wretched within the Edo Castle loyalties have been severed into warring factions, as two sons struggle to inherit the title of Shogun. If this rupture goes unresolved, the Tokugawa kingdom will be torn apart. A solution must be found, one befitting a samurai family. The Kouga and the Iga, two ninja clans with four hundred years of hostilities between them, meet at the request of Lord Ieyasu. There they learn that the peace forced upon them is to be broken by the whim of royalty, and that the outcome of this battle will determine the next Shogun. The passions of the past quickly reignite as two scrolls are sent out into the night. Ill-fated is this event indeed, for lovers stand with hands entwined as travesty approaches on the wings of a hawk. Reared from birth as sworn enemies, Gennosuke and Oboro, each the heir of these rival clans, seek lasting peace between their peoples. But the terms have been set, and two lists seal their destinies. Two lists from which a name can only be crossed out in blood. No mercy will be spared to the enemy.
Toonzone Reviews:
Basilisk Preview: Romantic Tragedy Meets Ninja Action by Karl Olson
"Basilisk Volume 1 Scrolls of Blood": If You Want Blood, You Got it by Walter Burns
Basilisk: Lovely Brutality by Matthew Cavalier
Basilisk: Gaze Not Too Long Across The Abyss... by Maxie Zeus

Am I missing something here? Each time I go to the Funimation site they seem to only show the 1st four episodes.

Yeah, they changed it. It happens. In a reverse example Air dropped to two episodes at one point, now it's complete again. I'm gonna be working on updates this weekend.

The Anime Network, just like Viz's portal, ANN, Toonzaki, and FuniVideo, will now start rocking Hulu embeds for selected free content presented on their site; people who pay for TAN will get the Hulu content via TAN's player and 100% ad-free. Speaking of, they also upgraded their video player so it doesn't look like crap anymore.

Also, a bunch of content that was gated (either with the free registration or with a paid subscription) is now free for all due to becoming Hulu embeds. List of shows at the link:

http://www.theanimenetwork.com/comp...ig-Updates-to-AN-Online-Player-Service-.html/

I can see Funi implement this to their still-in-hiding new site since I doubt people want to pay for ads. Have people gained beta access to it yet?

EDIT: SCREENGRABS! Spoiler tags due to bigness of some images.

This is the new player on non-Hulu content BTW, I didn't log in to TAN

Hulu embed w/ a better look at what content is available and to whom (dub/sub? guest/registered/subscriber?)

Same episode, but now on TAN's player.

And, here's a big screencap of TAN content on Hulu in fullscreen. Note how TAN's logo/bug is soft-subbed instead of being hard-subbed like Funi's videos everywhere.

Despite recent events, Sonic X Episode 53 went up as scheduled. So hopefully every Friday is when we'll see new episodes of Sonic X. He's the episode in question. Much of a relief to finally have decent subtitles for these episodes.

According to TZ's Facebook page, they'll release an episode every Friday, and may release two episodes a week eventually depending on the workflow.

Season 6 of Total Drama (production code-wise), Pahkitew Island, made its American debut a decade ago.

It's my favorite season of the show (behind all 3 of Total Dramarama's) and has the best cast of the series, which includes the 2 best characters of the franchise, Leonard and Max (who should've been the finalists).

Happy 10 year anniversary to The 7D.

Xilam is one of my most favourite animation studios, I enjoy alot of their cartoons from Hubert and Takako, Oggy and the Cockroaches and Zig and Sharko. Xilam is a studio that has inspired many and has created endless classics that we enjoy.

What's your most fond memory of Xilam?
Given how Drew Barrymore's production company Flower Films has mainly made live action projects for older audiences, them producing the TV special Olive The Other Reindeer and the Netflix preschool show Princess Power are definitely quite unusual. It would certainly explain the humor of the latter.
