Toriko will be streaming on FUNimation Video and Hulu starting Thursday. 6 PM Pacific, so 9 PM Eastern.

Will probably do updating this weekend. I suspect we'll see more streaming news before the week is out.

Things to note about beta.funimation.com.....ALL VIDEOS on that website will work for both the United States and Canada according to Adam Sheehan. At the moment, it is completely free.

The portal at funimation.com/video is still open. The guide will probably leave well enough alone for now except for any FUNimation titles present that are currently connected to a U.S.-only stream on Hulu.

This means even more work for me in the short term, potentially, especially if funimation.com/video eventually rolls into the new website. I imagine that will change all of the FUNimation video links. But that's OK. It's good news and this is a direction they ought to be going in.

Oh, and in a completely unshocking development, they will be simulcasting C.

Viz Media is now streaming Full Moon on VizAnime and Hulu. The first five subbed episodes are up with more to come.

I'm assuming "Full Moon" means "Full Moon o Sagashite", but here's the $64,000 question. Viz never finished the DVD release. Will they upload every episode, including the ones that never made it to said DVD release? I want to watch this show, but I need to know if they will upload every episode first. If so, I might start watching once every episode is there (or I may watch anyway; not sure).

They will. Look at what they did with Hikaru No Go. Despite not following through on the DVDs, all 75 episodes eventually did make it to Hulu and iTunes.

Updating has a ways to go yet, but it's coming along (argh, it's looking like I'll be reorienting this for Funi's beta site sooner rather than later....long story).....meanwhile Ultraviolent: Code 044 has ended up on Crackle, and dubbed at that. This was one of Madhouse's 2008 productions.

This anime series based on the hit feature film, ULTRAVIOLET CODE 044 is directed by legendary anime master Osamu Dezaki. 044, a clone specially engineered as a tool for humans to combat the Phages, becomes the strongest female soldier, excelling in combat through gene manipulation using the Hemophage Virus. In exchange for 044’s abilities, her days become numbered.

They're also streaming Viper's Creed, a 2009 series from Shinji (Bubblegum Crisis, Appleseed) Aramaki and AIC Spirits.

The first episodes of both Angel Beats and Clannad: After Story are currently available to download for free on iTunes.

I've downloaded Angel Beats and have yet to watch it, but I think I'll pass on After Story, since I've only seen one episode of Clannad and being that this is the second season, it's probably spoiler-iffic.

All right, finally. The new FUNimation.com was rolled out today. As I anticipated, this has rendered the old FUNimation.com/video portal kaput. So a whole lot of links are currently out of date now simply because FUNimation streams so much of what is on the master list. The good news is that now I can finally update everything in one great stroke, whereas before I quickly realized that I would have doubled my time investment messing around editing links that were merely temporary.

One big thing I'm probably going to change is approaching Anime News Network's video portal the same way I do Toonzaki as far as the master list goes (linking to it but not every single show listing they've got), except of course in the few situations where they do have an exclusive show. As it is Hulu has more of those, and Anime News Network tends to have as many or fewer episodes than other services do--never more. And I have a mind to keep focus more on the shows that are out there than tons of individual service links. This will be easier for me and I suspect no one will really miss it.

As always all video links are welcome in this and future threads, however.

Full Moon o Sagashite is indeed going beyond the DVD release, according to this ANN article. I hope this means we'll see all 52 episodes uploaded (that said, and as I mentioned in the Viz Anime thread, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt).

Season 6 of Total Drama (production code-wise), Pahkitew Island, made its American debut a decade ago.

It's my favorite season of the show (behind all 3 of Total Dramarama's) and has the best cast of the series, which includes the 2 best characters of the franchise, Leonard and Max (who should've been the finalists).

Happy 10 year anniversary to The 7D.

Xilam is one of my most favourite animation studios, I enjoy alot of their cartoons from Hubert and Takako, Oggy and the Cockroaches and Zig and Sharko. Xilam is a studio that has inspired many and has created endless classics that we enjoy.

What's your most fond memory of Xilam?
Given how Drew Barrymore's production company Flower Films has mainly made live action projects for older audiences, them producing the TV special Olive The Other Reindeer and the Netflix preschool show Princess Power are definitely quite unusual. It would certainly explain the humor of the latter.
