It turns out that Rocko is still on NickSplat. I guess they got some explaining to do with this messed up schedule. If someone can bring up a picture for proof, then you’ll see I’m right.

This must’ve been last minute because my guide still says Hey Arnold!.

Hey Arnold! aired in the 1AM hour last night after Rugrats so I think it was the same line-up as last week.

It means NickSplat aired the wrong line-up last night.

So does this mean Hey Arnold! is actually airing at 11PM tonight? And last night airing Rocko airing at 11pm and Hey Arnold at 1AM was for one time only even if it didn't match schedule guide?

I think NickSplat made an error last night by showing the wrong line-up.

Ok, my two cents on the state of NickSplat...

To be real, I always knew NickSplat was going to end up just like 90AAT. The beginning years of the Splat were great, with all the theme weeks & different shows, but i knew it was going to slowly become the previous.

My problem with the block is really not the same shows airing, it's the promotional materials that bothers me. They promote this block with different scenes of different Nick shows, but don't air 90% of what they're advertising...

Also feels that the people who runs the block don't have enough passion to make it special. I hate to compare NickSplat to [as]/Toonami, but i feel i have to. Yea, they're completely different entities, but you can tell William Street enjoys running those blocks because they come across as fans. They make those blocks special and stand out. NickSplat just feel lazy...

What's the problem of airing other old Nicktoons & Nickcoms? I think superkeegan9100 said it best. Teennick ratings are low, what's the risk? They have nothing to lose.

Remember when we all wanted The Splat to either be a separate channel or at least replace N@N. Looking back, I'm glad it didn't...

The problem with airing other shows besides the ones they do show now is that they require royalty payments and for some they would need to pay the production owner or whoever owns the rights to the show for the rights. It's likely they didn't feel the ratings and ad revenue were high enough to keep paying for royalties and rights.

If NickSplat became its own channel or replaced N@N it would probably get more love. TeenNick is frankly a backwoods channel and Nick is lucky that NickSplat gets the viewers it does.

They should rebrand TeenNick as NickSplat and launch it alongside a paid (but cheap) streaming service that includes all Nickelodeon shows as well as a live simulcast of the new NickSplat network. Don't tie it only to the TV Everywhere logins, rather make it its own subscription as well.

That's not my point. I understand that. If that's the case, then stop promoting those said shows on the block. You can't be advertising stuff you not able to air... It's false advertising

I'm not sure what you're referring to.. If you think that promo for SpongeBob aired on Nicktoons mentions simulcasts of Nicktoons, TeenNick, and NickMusic, then it's false advertising. Same as when TeenNick aired a promo for Thundermans mentioning simulcasts, as same as false advertising, but not sure what it has to do with NickSplat thread

My guess in his reference is NickSplat, like 90sAAT before it, shows a lot of different 90s shows in their bumpers a lot, but they never get a regular spot. Just a rare appearance at best. They just seem to be used for stuff between shows while that show itself (whatever it may be) just continues to sit around. It would be great to again see something like the original Double Dare or YCDTOT on a nightly basis even if they didn't start until 2am. I do understand situations like KaBlam would need to repurchase rights to what's needed to show all or most episodes. This current schedule reminds me of what they did with Nick GaS before it ended running the same 6 shows.

In a different comment, someone above talked about a NickSplat channel. IMO, I was thinking they could shut down TeenNick as it is (as nothing is necessarily targeted as a teen. Nicktoons could be the new NickSplat as both could mix up the shows they have now. Creates a little variety, and though I don't believe they're currently running, Nicktoons has already and regularly played live-action stuff also seen on TeenNick which when looking at it from a different perspective continues my belief of it being wasted space. They could still play the 90s stuff overnight if they wanted to still help with that variety, but would be nice to take a shot in the dark and play other 90s shows for a while that haven't gotten much love. There really is no risk.

The current state of The Splat really doesn't bother me all too much. Could it be better? Of course it could, it wouldn't hurt to shake things up every now and again and expand it's runtime. That said I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. The fact Nick of all channels made a dedicated 90s block is still mind blowing, and it's because of that we're getting these TV sequels of Hey Arnold, Rocko, Zim, and even a new Double Dare.

Nick does need to improve it, but axing it entirely is the wrong move. If anything I'd rather they remove the "TeenNick" brand entirely and just turned the entire channel into The Splat. Nostalgia is very lucrative right now, and Nick needs to find a way to really make it work for them.

Airing snippets or clips of shows that aren't on the block isn't false advertising. The block is for classic Nick in general rather than just airing the shows they do as part of TeenNick's regular schedule and they're not saying those shows air on the block.

The Jungle Movie, Static Cling, the Double Dare reboot, and the Clarissa Explains it All reboot in the works show that Nick is looking to bank on nostalgia with new programming that will hopefully appeal to its true target audience also. If successful new programming is a lot more profitable than airing reruns of shows that they need to pay to have on late nights.

I would love for this to happen. It could offer so much more shows than what the two blocks combined have put out over the past seven years.
