In retrospect, using thousands of Titans, even dormant ones, to imprison the Eldians was a really bad idea.

The real world sucks, but every now and then a show like Attack on Titan comes along to show us things could be a LOT worse.

You know, Eren is terrible. But the complete self-involvement of the rest of the cast is impressive in a sort of morbid way. Levi comes closest to being a straight hero, if a very grumpy one. Onyankopan also comes off a decent guy but he is very much a side character.

Edit: Hange was okay to in their own crazy way.

A lot of this plot rests on how the rest of the world treats Eldians, which is insane even by the standards of real world discrimination. It is the only thing that can even begin to give Eren's viewpoint any validity.
