Eden, one of the world's fewest "undecayed" documentary channels, has removed its HD feed from SKY, yet it's still on VM.

Apparently they're using that frequency for Gold HD (which would include many upscaled repeats) ,according to tests.. but a channel like Eden, with so many documentaries in HD, needs to be HD though
It's the British counterpart of BBC Earth, which is HD in many European countries

MTV Europe promoting EMAs. Why am I not surprised about the rainbow theme? It's almost on every channel these days. How original. But if they feel like it brings ratings, why not.

Lotus? What Lotus? PPCTV in Cambodia had a Tamil news channel called Lotus News on analog. (not sure if it still has)

I hope they didn't remove RTP Internacional!

By the way, SIC Internacional is airing Inspector Gadget's Field Trip on weekend mornings and this is kind of weird. I don't remember seeing this in Portugal, or maybe it aired on SIC back in the day?, but who knows.

Paramount Network is due to launch in the US in January. A UK version is also due to launch on free to air in the UK by Viacom. Viacom already have 5USA to show top US shows free to air? Why do they need this free to air as well? What will the difference be especially when both are free?

Actually, Paramount Network is the new name for Spike, not a new channel.

Not in the UK though, it'll be a new channel ,i n spite of the existing "Spike UK"

I think "Paramount Channel" in the UK will be the more movies-related channel, just as it is in Italy, Spain etc

No article ever mentions that Spike UK will be replaced; also, in the UK it has healthy ratings, it would be stupid to drop it

Also: decisions taken in the US (when replacing channels is much cheaper than launching another one) do not correspond with the international ones sometimes

See H2: replaced in the US, kept everywhere else
