A few bumpers from the early 2000's, used on various European versions of CN, including CN Nordic.

Some of them are creative, but others are just as odd as I remember them.

I remember those bumpers, they're also bumpers featuring characters, but they were only in the next bumpers. In the European version the bumpers were used somewhere in the late 90s and were replaced in 2001 by the bumpers featuring a few squares in which clips from shows are shown.

Here are 2 more bumpers:

Some interesting news for all you "Powerhouse" fans. I'm quoting this from the "Operation Time Capsule" forums, courtesy of abwayax:

From Primal's twitter: http://twitter.com/PrimalScreen/status/12659118678

Cartoon Network called asking us to resubmit music we did 13 years ago. Apparently there's a groundswell of nostalgia. Thank you, Internet!

I really treasure these bumpers, especially the Tom and Jerry Kids ones, because the cartoon is easily one of my favorite childhood shows of all time.

Sorry if this is a bad request, but does anyone have a link for this video of about 4 live-action kids talking about sports? They sounded like they were just saying what came to them, not something scripted sounding. It looked late 90's/early 00's. I actually first saw it on Youtube in one of the videos of Cartoon Network commercials. Thanks.

Are you talking about one of those Cartoon Gang skits?

I found it in this batch of videos provided by barber747:

Hi,

My favorite always has been the Checkerboard look. Since Cow and Chicken premiered two days before the switch to Powerhouse, does any of you have any checkerboard bumper, ID, "next" or "we'll be back/back to..." of it?

And, which company produced the checkerboard era bumpers, interstitials and IDs?

I have a VHS recorded on October 24, 2003 from Latin American CN, is anyone interested?

Greetings,

Matias.

Hi, sorry I don't remember any checkerboard bumps for Cow and Chicken, neither Johnny Bravo, and I pretty much don't know which company designed the "Checkerboard" format. Probably Turner did it in-house, due to the cheesiness of it. :p
Also, yes I'd like to see it. Is there already a YouTube link for it?

Hello.

I still didn't upload my tape. I wish we had some digital recording of the Checkerboard format. It may have been cheesy, but i loved it. Here until the switch to Powerhouse the Latin America feed was the same as the US feed, but with everything dubbed to spanish. That explains why some of the checkerboard stuff available is dubbed to spanish.

I don't know if anyone linked to this one yet:

I never thought I would see "We're talkin toons here" again. That was the first promo I ever saw. Perhaps their very first (1992). I knew I had to get cable then! Wow; those other ones were some of the best from when I did finally get my own cable two years later.

That's why I wish Boomerang would become "CN Classic" and play all of this stuff. Glad it was all saved.

What else is needed is CN's own copy of TMBG's "Courage the Cowardly Dog - Night Terrors" (Which they had on their site a few years ago; though this is really early 2000's). The ones on YouTube are all people's filming off of the TV screen, and since the video uses heavily shadowing effects; the backgrounds are all ruined, and you can't see a lot of stuff.
